Iran’s President Calls for Move Beyond “No War, No Peace”

(MENAFN) According to reports, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran must move beyond what he described as a prolonged “no war, no peace” condition, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside heightened regional tensions.

Speaking at an event in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated that Iran should transition out of the current unstable status quo while emphasizing that armed conflict is not in the country’s interest. He also warned that Iran would not accept violations of its sovereignty or territorial integrity.

He added that the country’s leadership must focus on unity and coordination across society to manage ongoing political and economic pressures, describing crisis management during periods of tension as particularly challenging.

Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran would not be forced into submission through military pressure or threats, saying the country would resist external coercion. He also referenced recent regional escalations involving the United States and Israel, describing the killing of Iranian military commanders as unacceptable.

The president further accused Iran’s adversaries of attempting to isolate Tehran diplomatically by encouraging regional states to align against it, while suggesting that ongoing diplomatic engagement is helping to counter such efforts.

On the economic front, he highlighted the impact of sanctions and trade restrictions, stating that they have placed significant strain on the country’s economy and external trade routes.
